The
College is a member of the Caribbean Association of Bible Colleges, as
well as the local body: the Evangelical Training Association (ETA). The
ETA accordingly certifies the diplomas in the Biblical Department, by
giving graduates a ETA diploma. As
a result, many of our graduates have been appointed by their churches to
serve as pastors, evangelists, counselors, and in other areas.
Some are also presently working as Guidance Counselors in
schools.
J.B.C.C.I. is also affiliated with and is in the process of seeking
accreditation from the Caribbean Evangelical Theological Association (CETA), the accreditation agency for
Bible
Colleges
and seminaries throughout the
Caribbean
. We are similarly engaged
in the process of satisfying the conditions for accreditation from the
University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) for both the Diplomas in Bible and
Business.
Local
business and government institutions accept the Business Department’s
Diploma, and many of our graduates hold positions of responsibility in
several of these places. The College is at present working on
establishing cooperative agreements with degree-granting tertiary
institutions, with a view to offering some university-level first year
courses in order to better prepare students for continuing studies.
