CHAPEL |
Throughout
the school year chapel sessions are held each morning.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays we meet for combined sessions.
On Mondays the chapel is held in the form of departmental devotions,
while on Thursdays we meet for small group meetings. These
sessions seek to promote the spiritual growth of both students and
members of staff. |
|
HAPPY
HOUR |
On
Thursday afternoon, just before Work Study, the student Council is
responsible for planning and hosting their “Happy Hour”. This
is an open session for bible students to share in a time of healthy
social fellowship. |
|
WORK
STUDY |
As
part of the curriculum, Biblical students (residents and non-residents)
are required to contribute hours of work to the development of the
campus. A grade is awarded
at the end of each term. |
|
FITNESS
HOUR
|
As
part of our curriculum, we have "Fitness Hour". Here
both students and members of staff ‘get fit’.
This is done once every week for one hour.
"Fitness Hour" activity includes football, netball,
walking, aerobics and volleyball. In addition there is a once a
year sports day. Keen competition prevails between the three
houses: (Edwards, Hanson and Sharpe). |

EXTRA
CURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES
|
Students
with various talents will find opportunities to use their abilities on
campus as well as in ministry and for the promotion of the College which
includes: choir, speech, drama,
and music clubs.
The
Jamaica
Bible
College
and Community Institute choir is organized yearly with rehearsals held
once per week. Performances
are given in chapel and at various events, including our Annual Prayer
Breakfast and graduation exercise and local church services.
Biblical\Business
students recently went to

CHRISTIAN
SERVICE
|
Each
student doing the Diploma in Bible is required to do one year of
Christian service. This is done either through their local
churches or other community based institutions, such as schools,
hospital, children’s or nursing homes, or the Infirmary. This
provides the student with a practical opportunity to put into practice
the theories that have been taught and thus discover their strengths and
weaknesses. A member of staff supervises this ministry. |
